925 Sterling Silver

Solid sterling silver, hallmarked — not plated base metal

The Suspension is a tension-set solitaire, handcrafted in 925 sterling silver with rhodium plating. 1ct of top-quality moissanite, D–E colour, VVS1 clarity, with GRA certificate. One stone, held in the gap between two arms, with nothing covering its face.

One stone, held in the gap between two arms.

Two curves of polished silver rise from the band, sweep past each other without meeting, and stop. The moissanite sits in the space they leave — gripped along its girdle, the narrow edge where the top and bottom of the stone meet, and open on every other side.

There are no claws. Nothing reaches over the face of the stone, nothing cups it from below. Most solitaires solve the problem of holding a stone by putting metal in front of it; this one solves it by putting metal beside it.

Why it catches light differently

A claw-set solitaire takes light from above and returns it upward. That is most of what a diamond ring does, and it does it well.

Open the sides and the underside, though, and light enters from directions a closed setting blocks. Walk past a window and the stone lights from behind. Rest your hand on a table and it still picks up the room. The practical result is that the ring is rarely dark — there are far fewer angles at which it simply stops working.

With moissanite this matters more than it would with diamond. Moissanite's dispersion is roughly two and a half times that of diamond, so every additional path light takes through the stone returns more coloured fire. An open setting is the one that lets you see what you paid for.

The bypass

Look at the ring from the side and you'll see that it isn't a band with a setting attached. It's one continuous line that opens, holds, and closes again.

The two arms don't meet, and they don't sit at the same height — one passes above the stone's centreline, the other below. That offset is what creates the tension; it's also what gives the profile its movement. From above you read a clean solitaire. From the side you read a curve with a stone caught in it.

There is no join, no step up to a head, no soldered gallery. The places where a ring usually shows how it was assembled are simply absent here.

Nothing to snag

Claw tips are the part of a ring that catches — on wool, on hair, on the inside of a pocket, on a child's clothing. They are also the part that bends and lifts over years of wear, which is how stones are lost.

A tension setting has no tips. The outer surfaces are continuous and polished, so the ring passes over fabric instead of grabbing it. For something worn every day rather than kept for occasions, that is a real difference.

Wearing it

This is an engagement ring, and it is a solitaire — it carries the single-stone symbolism in full. What it doesn't carry is the traditional silhouette.

At 1ct the stone is substantial without being theatrical, and because nothing surrounds it the whole carat is visible. A 1ct stone in a halo looks larger and reads as a cluster. A 1ct stone here reads as exactly what it is, which is the point of choosing a solitaire at all.

It stacks poorly and that is deliberate. The open gap on either side is the design; a band pressed against it closes the view straight through the ring and the effect collapses. Worn alone, it has room to work.

What is moissanite?

Moissanite is a gemstone in its own right — silicon carbide — not an imitation of anything. It was first found in a meteorite crater, and the stones used in jewellery today are grown in a laboratory because natural moissanite is far too rare to set.

Two properties matter. It is 9.25 on the Mohs scale, harder than any gemstone except diamond, which is why it survives daily wear without the chipping that softer stones suffer. And its dispersion is roughly two and a half times that of diamond — it splits white light into visible spectral colour far more strongly. That is the fire you see: flashes of blue, green and orange where a diamond of the same size returns mostly white.

We say moissanite plainly on every page. It is not sold here as a diamond and never will be.

Why silver, and not gold?

Because the stone is the point. A heavy gold setting adds a great deal of money for metal that sits underneath the stone and is barely seen — and in this design there is barely any metal underneath the stone at all.

Rhodium-plated 925 sterling silver gives the same bright white-gold finish, keeps the budget in the stone and the setting, and our lifetime replating means the finish stays white for as long as you own the ring. If you would prefer this design in gold, message us on WhatsApp and we'll quote it.

Marked inside

CERELINE is engraved on the inner shank, where only the wearer sees it. Not ornament — provenance.

Made to order

Made in your size after you order, in 7 to 15 days.

Please choose carefully. A tension setting cannot be resized the way a plain band can — the grip on the stone depends on the exact diameter of the band, so opening or closing it changes the thing that holds the stone. We make to your size rather than adjusting afterwards. If you are between sizes, message us before ordering and we'll advise.

Care

Rhodium plating protects the silver beneath it, and it will wear with daily use — which is why replating is free for life. Store the ring in its box when you aren't wearing it, and put it on last, after perfume and hand cream.

The open underside is the part to attend to. It is the ring's great advantage and its one maintenance task: nothing blocks dirt from settling where the stone meets the arms, and once that gap is dull the stone stops lighting from below. Once a month, warm water, a drop of washing-up liquid, and a soft brush worked through the gap from both sides, rinse and dry fully. You will see the difference immediately.

Remove for chlorinated water, household chemicals and fragrance. Avoid knocking the stone squarely against hard surfaces — the setting is secure, but no setting benefits from impact.

Frequently asked questions

Is the stone secure without claws?
Yes. The arms are formed under pressure so that they press inward on the girdle continuously — the grip doesn't depend on glue or friction alone, and it doesn't loosen the way claws can bend and lift. Treat it as you would any fine ring and it will stay where it is.

Does it come with a certificate?
Yes. The stone ships with its GRA certificate, stating 1ct, D–E colour and VVS1 clarity.

Is moissanite the same as cubic zirconia?
No. Cubic zirconia is softer, clouds with wear and has far less fire. Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale and holds its brilliance for life. They are not comparable materials and they are not comparably priced.

Will the plating wear off?
Eventually, yes — that is true of every rhodium-plated piece, at any price. Ours is free to replate for life, so it is never a reason not to buy.

How do I find my ring size?
We make sizes 10 to 20. Use the size guide on this page, or message us on WhatsApp at +92 371 4323294 and we'll walk you through measuring. Size matters more on this design than most — please don't guess.

How long will it take?
7 to 15 days, made to order in our Lahore workshop. If you have a date to meet, tell us and we'll be honest about whether we can make it.

Where do you deliver?
Anywhere in Pakistan, free of charge. We make everything at our bench in Lahore, so Lahore orders arrive fastest — 1–2 days once the piece leaves the workshop, and 2–4 days elsewhere in Pakistan. Cash on delivery is available countrywide; because every piece is made to your size and cannot be resold as it stands, we take a 10% advance before we start and the remaining 90% is paid to the courier on delivery. You are also welcome to collect in person from our shop at Shop No. 15, Square 99 Mall, Bahria Town, Lahore.

What if it isn't right?
Cancel free within 24 hours of ordering. After delivery you have 5 days for a refund and 30 days to exchange. Because a tension setting cannot be resized, this design is exchange-only rather than resize — which is why we'd rather spend five minutes on WhatsApp getting your size right first. Engraved and custom pieces are exchange only.

What arrives

Your ring in our signature presentation box, with a polishing cloth, care card and the GRA certificate. Delivered free anywhere in Pakistan, in packaging that doesn't announce what's inside.

Shipping information

Every piece is made after you order it, so the wait is longer than a shop selling stock — and the fit, the stone and the engraving are yours.

Allow 7–15 days at the bench, then 1–2 days with the courier in Lahore, or 2–4 days elsewhere in Pakistan. If you have a date to meet, tell us and we will be honest about whether we can make it.

Easy returns & exchange

30 days to exchange. 5 days to refund. On unworn pieces in their original box with the hallmark tag intact.

You can also cancel free within 24 hours of ordering, before we start work.

If the ring does not fit, send it back within 30 days and we resize it free, once. Some settings cannot be resized far without weakening them — we will tell you the limit honestly rather than damage your piece. A full eternity band cannot be resized at all, which is why we ask you to measure carefully before ordering one.

Engraved and custom pieces can be exchanged or resized but not refunded, because we cut your text into metal after sending you a proof.

Personalise it, make it yours

We can engrave a name, a date, a short phrase in English or Urdu, or handwriting and fingerprints taken from a photograph you send us.

Leave your text in the order notes or message us after ordering. We send a proof for your approval before we cut anything.

Engraving is complimentary on most pieces and adds 2–3 days to the make time.

Lifetime plating services

Silver darkens and rhodium plating wears. Both are normal, and both are reversible.

Send any piece back whenever it looks tired and we will clean, polish and replate it free — as many times as you need, for as long as you own it. While it is with us we check the stone settings too.

Most people do this once a year.

Moissanite, simply explained

GRA® Certificate

Moissanite has its own origins, brilliance, and report. Here are a few details to help you understand the stone you're considering.

Lab-created

Silicon carbide, first found in a meteorite crater in 1893. The natural supply is vanishingly small, so every stone we sell is grown in a lab.

Distinctive sparkle

It bends light harder than a diamond and splits it into more colour — white brilliance in daylight, flashes of rainbow under a restaurant light.

Stone details

9.25 on the Mohs scale, hard enough for daily wear. Cut, colour, clarity and measurements are listed on the report that comes with it.

Nothing covers the stone

No claws across the face. No metal underneath. The stone is held at the edges and open everywhere else — so you see the full carat, not the parts a setting left showing. Claws on a solitaire can hide up to a fifth of the stone you paid for.

It sparkles from every angle

Light gets in from the sides and the base, not just the top. Move your hand and it keeps firing — there's no angle where it goes flat. Moissanite throws two and a half times more colour than a diamond, and an open setting is what lets you actually see it.

The stone looks like it's floating

Two arms sweep past each other and stop. The stone sits in the gap with nothing visibly holding it, and from the side you can see straight through the ring. It's the detail people ask about.
